There are fourteen tribal ethnic groups living in bandarban such as bawm, marma, murong, khumi, lusai, tengchangiya, khasia, chakma etc. every ethnic group has its own language, They share animist beliefs and honor numerous forest and guardian spirits. Bandarban Friendly travel planet:
From Dhaka to bandarban getting by soudia / s. alam hino chair coach direct day or night journey or Dhaka to Chittagong by air / train / Volvo bus then Micro bus to bandarban. From bandarban take a jeep ( chander gari ) to boga lake or ruma bazaar.
Hiking trail route -01: ruma bazaar to boga lake through JHIRI path ( stream of waterfalls ) and boga lake > keokradong > baktlai para > serkar para > Tajindong > Thanchi > bandarban.
Hiking trail route: bandarban > Thanchi > tindu ( remakri ) > Nafakhumb > satvai khumb > thanchi > shaka haphong peak > bandarban.
Friendly planet hiking trail itinerary:
The first Day: Dhaka to Chittagong by air from Chittagong drive to bandarban by car / van, check in hotel for refreshment, in the afternoon visit bandarban include tiger hill, golden temple, museum, night stay in bandarban hotel / resort. ( our language guide will show permission copy in the check point where foreign tourists are controlled )
The second day: early in the morning drive about to ruma, one hour and half boat trip in the shangu river upstream to ruma bazaar where our tribal guide waiting after lunch drive again to boga lake, on arrival boga lake free time around mysterious lake after check in completion.
The third Day: our hiking trail started early in the morning to unique experience tribal villages ( one ethnic group to another ethnic group ), we cover Darjeeling para, zatiphai waterfalls, bawm and murong tribes para in this days. Overnight in keokradong cottage or Samsung para at the down - hill of keokradong peak.
The fourth Day: hiking trail to another ethnic village rumana para, passing para and overnight baktlai para ethnic group homestays.
The fifth Day: from baktlai para to serkar para is beyond tajindong peak then trail to overnight in bording para.
The sixth Day: walking through majesty of steam, waterfalls and flora in whole bandarban, overnight in thanchi Government rest house.
The seventh Day: know about chakma then drive to Chittagong via bandarban to take the return flight to Dhaka.
